      UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media invites applications for a temporary part-time position of Graduate Program Coordinator.

      The primary purpose of this position is to manage the day-to-day activities of the graduate program and support the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, as well as each of the graduate academic directors and the Assistant Director of Graduate Studies. This position is responsible for overall correspondence with current students throughout the year. This position tracks and manages the degree progress of graduate students including thesis/project timelines, degree paperwork and graduation checkout. The coordinator position manages admissions and registration for all graduate programs. This position is expected to advise students, faculty and staff on admission, registration, drop/add withdrawal procedures, graduation clearance and other Graduate School requirements. The coordinator position also oversees student funding and fellowships, including entering tuition/fees and scholarships, and coordinating with campus partners on stipends, insurance, etc. This position acts as a liaison to the School's main student services director and The Graduate School.
