Job Description

- Compiles, tracks, and processes admission applications, and supporting documentation, and responds to and directs inquiries about academic programs, requirements, and enrollment.
- Develops and modifies the Schedule of Classes (SOC) each semester or session, assists with academic program-related projects and event coordination, and provides administrative support to the department chair and faculty to resolve problems or concerns related to student enrollment, permission numbers, and graduation rates.
- Provides general support to the department's daily essential operations and provides oversight to student assistants; assists graduate student travel inquiries, providing assistance with travel funding questions and routing travel forms for approval to attend and present at conferences.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Equivalent to five (5) years of full-time, progressively responsible administrative or technical office management experience in an administrative capacity exercising independent judgment and leading the work of others.
- Equivalent to full-time college or university education/vocational school training in business or job-related fields may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the required experience.
- Thorough mastery of: office methods, procedures, and practices; and correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Expertise in using office software packages, technology, and systems.
- Ability and specialized skills to: prepare letters, memos, and reports; transcribe minutes; make travel arrangements; analyze operational and procedural problems and develop, recommend, and evaluate proposed solutions; apply judgment, discretion, and initiative in establishing priorities, providing follow-up and quality control.
- Ability to use judgment and discretion to act when precedents do not exist; understand problems from a broader perspective and anticipate the impact of office administration problems and solutions on other areas.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships; effectively handle interpersonal interactions at all levels and handle highly sensitive interpersonal situations; operate standard office equipment and software.

- The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $3865 - $4200 per month, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $3865 - $6336 per month.
- HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday.
- This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
- The position is currently hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote); however, this is subject to change based on student and/or operational needs.

Major Duties
Under the general supervision of the Chair of the Department of Psychology, the Graduate Program Coordinator is the main point of contact for the Psychology master’s programs. The incumbent acts as the liaison between prospective students, faculty program directors, and campus constituents.
