      Job Summary

      Milner Library is seeking a graduate student to staff the Milner Library Digital Scholarship Lab during open lab hours for the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters. Duties include but are not limited to: opening, monitoring, and facilitating use of the lab space; scheduling and providing training; providing support to faculty, staff, and student users of the lab; and updating user guides.

      Additional Information

      The lab is expected to be open 3 PM to 8 PM Sunday through Thursday during the semester.

      Pay Rate

      $15.00/hour

      Preferred Qualifications

      • A degree-seeking graduate student at ISU.
      • Has successfully completed a course in statistics.
      • Proven experience working with datasets to create statistical analysis reports.
      • Be able to work up to ten hours a week for a total of sixty hours.
      • Be reliable and communicative with staff.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
      • Background in statistical analysis.
      • Experience creating visualizations of datasets for presentations.

      Work Hours

      Tentative lab hours are 3 PM - 8 PM, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

      This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and if applicable, an employment history review, based on University Policy 3.1.30 and any offer of employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation and/or an employment history review.
