      PURPOSE

      The Graduate Transcript Analyst II supports all graduate admissions processing efforts relative to admission applicant flows. The analyst serves as a data processor and evaluator for the academic admission and entry process. The Graduate Transcript Analyst II reports to the Director of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions.

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • 20% - Process applications and admission decision for prospective graduate students to include file and transcript review, as well as issuance of appropriate levels of communication with prospective students.

      • 20% - Serve as main contact/liaison/advisor for prospective and/or current students, program personnel, and external constituents. Make decisions and provide information needed to applicants and university academic officials.

      • 20% - Ensure accurate GPA calculations and process admit decisions to include the processing of transcripts to determine appropriate GPA on the last 60 hours of undergraduate work.

      • 15% - Supervise, train, and couch student workers and graduate assistants on graduate admission tasks and processes.

      • 10% - Plan and implement notifications to the student information system to support special program initiatives, admission requirement changes, and increase processing efficiencies.

      • 10% - Represent the department on University committees and in meetings. Work collaboratively with the office and personnel in other areas of the University.

      • 5% - Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions, Executive Director of Recruitment and Admissions, or their designees.

      NOTE: This position has flexible work arrangements including remote and hybrid opportunities.

      WHAT YOU WILL NEED

      • Associate degree.

      • Four (4) years of related experience.

      • Additional education may be used as a substitution for the minimum experience requirement.

        • Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years or

        • Master’s degree

      • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

      • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, provide excellent customer service, operate in a challenging and stressful environment, as well as work independently to meet deadlines.

      • Ability to work weekends and evening as needed.

      WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE

      • Bachelor’s degree.

      • Knowledge of admissions and recruitment functions.

      • Experience working with Banner, Laserfiche, and/or Argos is a plus.

      • Knowledge of higher education processes

      • General knowledge of record-keeping

      SALARY: $16.44 Hourly (Approx. $ 34,195.20 annually)
