- Actively participate in terrestrial fauna field surveys in a range of remote and diverse environments across Western Australia (and potentially interstate).
- Analyse ecological data and prepare clear, concise technical reports with guidance.
- Liaison with technical and subject matter specialists;
- Preparation of proposals, budgets, and tender documents with guidance.
- Opportunity to expand your knowledge across various ecological disciplines (aquatic ecology, terrestrial ecology, marine science, environmental impact assessment, mine closure and rehabilitation), and undertake training and development to drive your career progression.

- A passion for learning, experience, and demonstrated enthusiasm for zoology (outside of university).
- Ability to undertake extended surveys, generally up to two weeks at a time in remote locations across WA.
- Keen birding experience would be of interest but not essential.
- Keen terrestrial invertebrate experience would be of interest but not essential.
- A solid level of physical fitness and ability to pass a fitness assessment for field surveys.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- GIS and spatial ecology experience will be seen as beneficial, but not essential.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and willingness to work across teams.
- Be eligible to work in Australia with a current C class unrestricted (manual) drivers licence.
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- An interest in embracing innovation to continually improve the work we do.
Graduate Zoologist – Perth
Due to exciting growth in our Australian Environmental Business, we are looking for graduate zoologists to work in our passionate Terrestrial Fauna Team. We are interested in graduates that are keen to apply and continue to develop their skills and knowledge to field programs as well as office tasks.
The role:
Based in our Perth office, the team are leading experts in the field of terrestrial ecology, with strengths across baseline fauna surveys, targeted significant species surveys, technical reporting, and impact assessments.
We have a comprehensive pipeline of current and upcoming exciting projects spanning across the Pilbara, Central Deserts, Mid-west, Goldfields, and Southwest regions of Western Australia.
