- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the field of Education or related field**
- Two years’ experience working with students who have been identified as off-track
- Experience in successfully integrating technology into classroom instruction
- Experience in intensive classroom academic prevention and intervention implementation; OR
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position
- Obtain certification in a content area in the grade level of the teaching assignment within the school year in which they are hired.
- Valid Florida’s Educator’s Certificate in a core content area in the grade level of the teaching assignment

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where at-risk students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, behavioral, physical, and psychological growth and for organizing and implementing an instructional program that results in students achieving academic success in accordance with District policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
**Positions that require a district issued vocational certificate; a bachelor’s degree may not be required.

***This position may require you to teach an additional period beyond your base contract. Should this occur, you will receive additional compensation at the effective negotiated rate in addition to your base salary for instructing this additional period. This additional amount will be paid as a supplement and will be disbursed in equal payments based on the District’s established payroll calendar for this position.
