- Research, write, and submit publicly and privately funded grant proposals/applications
- Research and recommend grant opportunities that support the District's mission, vision, strategic initiatives, policies, and procedures in preparation for grant submission
- Resolve issues/conflicts with grant projects, programs, proposals, and applications
- Analyze and communicate grant funding trends to District leadership and colleagues
- Develop and distribute strategies for grant-seeking consistent with current and future District goals and in alignment with strategic priorities
- Create and maintain grant records in database and hardcopy files, including tracking of currently awarded, submitted/pending, and prospective grant opportunities
- Communicate grant objectives, program evaluation, and reporting results internally through publications, meeting, newsletters, website, and other forums
- Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, or related field experience or related background in grant writing

This person will also ensure that all competitive funding opportunities align with the District's and department strategic initiatives. In addition, this person will be tasked with tracking current and future grants and ensuring that reporting is completed properly and timely as directed by the grantor.
