Position qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred. Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience preferred. A solid understanding of grant writing and budgets as they relate to proposals and grants is required. Previous experience in fundraising for a healthcare organization is strongly preferred.
Job purpose:
Provides support to the Mind Springs Foundation and Development Team and is responsible for researching, preparing, submitting, and writing grant proposals. This individual plays an important role in increasing revenue for Mind Springs, Inc. with a focus on grant writing, understanding organizational needs, and acting as a steward of existing Foundation and Corporate partnerships. The candidate selected for this role will develop compelling proposals that will result in funding for the immediate and long-term goals of Mind Springs Health and West Springs Hospital. This position requires strong writing, data analysis, communication skills, with an emphasis on outcome measurement.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for longer periods of time at a computer. May be exposed to stressful situations that involve enraged, distraught and/or intoxicated individuals with possible mental disorders. Possible potential for exposure to communicable disease.
