      Salary: $32.02-46.89 DOE/DOQ

      Employee Benefits:

      Full Medical, Dental and Vision benefits after 60 days employment

      o HL7N pays 100% of the insurance premium for Full-time Employees (30 hours+).

      o HL7N pays $6,000 of Employee out of pockets expenses for medical, dental and/or vision utilizing the Navia card.

      $75,000 Life Insurance, Short and Long-Term disability after 90 -days. HL7N pays 100% of the Life Insurance premium for Full-time Employees (30 hrs.+).

      Annually Employees receive 12 paid holidays; 20 Paid-Time-Off (PTO) days per year after the employee has been employed FTE (32 hrs.+) and achieved successful 90-days performance evaluation rating.

      403(b) Thrift Savings Plan with the HL7N maximum pension contribution of 6%, completed 12 months of employment (1,000 hrs.) and successful performance evaluation rating.

      Healing Lodge employment may qualify for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program as well as loan repayment through Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)

      About the Company

      The Healing Lodge of the Seven Nations is a youth residential treatment facility which provides a safe and caring healing environment for adolescents. Located on 51 acres, our wellness program provides a peaceful environment for treatment balanced in traditional, cultural and spiritual values and practices. These values and practices foster respect, honesty, generosity, strong cultural identification and hope for positive life changes. The Healing Lodge treatment program integrates traditional, spiritual and cultural values with chemical dependency and mental health counseling to create a holistic approach toward healing. Residents include both Native American and non-Native from all areas of the country.

      About the Position

      The Grant Writer oversees the process and production of all materials related to the grant application process from identifying and qualifying prospects, to writing proposals and reports, to collecting data, budgets, and all relevant documents from various departments, for grant submission. The Grant Writer also participates in special projects and fundraising efforts to support special projects outside of capital projects and reports to the Business Operations Manager, with guidance from the Finance, and Executive Director to ensure alignment with the Healing Lodge of the Seven Nation’s overall mission and goals.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

      Serves as the grant-writer by researching, preparing, and writing the grant and/or foundation proposals responding to funding opportunities. Efficient at research and gathering data to prepare grants appropriately and in a timely manner, to meet deadlines.

      Researches funding opportunities to enhance and improve upon program activities and to fulfill HL7N strategic and comprehensive planning efforts.

      Works with department directors on all aspects of grant applications to include identifying unmet needs, outlining the scope of the project, creation of detailed work plans and preparing project budgets, and compile information to create final requests for grant submission

      Identify all grant, charity, donation, tribal casino funding, and philanthropic resources required to administer, build, expand, acquire funding for any needed project/s to include any capital projects costs.

      Responsible for researching, writing, compiling a timeline of all grants in conjunction with the Business Operations Manager including maintenance and oversight of workflow processes and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient collection and timely submission.

      Write grant applications and all reports and conduct prospect research on new opportunities that align with HL7N’s vision and mission.

      Oversees grant workflow processes related to data entry to ensure reporting timelines are followed adequately.

      Create Grant Templates and documents in Share Point to assist and provide guidance to department leads in tracking and efficient reporting.

      Provide links between program, finance, and other staff so that all activities related to grant data collection and reporting are smoothly implemented.

      Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and foundations’ requirements for grants.

      Create and continuously research and manage a grant-funding sources database: Grants.gov, foundations, corporations, State & Federal Funding, Tribal governments & their Casinos, Tribal Foundations or Charity entities, and all agencies, and the like.

      Write and complete all grant applications for Healing Lodge on a timely basis.

      Assist in preparation of materials for the Board of Directors meetings.

      Perform other duties as needed.

      Education and/or Experience:

      Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) and/or 5 to 7 years’ demonstrated experience as a grant writer.

      Experience working in a social services organization or other complex nonprofit is highly preferred.

      Exceptional writing ability that is clear, concise and analytic in style.

      Experience working with project teams to ascertain and achieve cross-department objectives.

      Work well in a collaborative environment.

      Maintain a strong attention to detail at all times.

      Comfortable with data management and administration.

      Ability to work well under pressure, maintain deadlines, and effectively manage multiple priorities.

      Computer Skills:

      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be computer savvy and knowledgeable of information technology and computer networking. Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, and Internet systems.

      Work Environment:

      The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is generally performed in an indoor office environment with frequent normal-level conversations. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
