Job Description

- Creates and develops graphic designs and art solutions.
- Actively participates in product ideation and development, advocating for visual design excellence from inception to completion.
- Directs and collaborates with internal and external designers, illustrators and photographers
- Creates design briefs and cover comps in collaboration with stakeholders (publishers, marketers and authors).
- Creates product templates including layouts, stylesheets and formating and assists editorial team in best practices for production.
- Finalizes production work and sends files to printers for production.
- Responds to customer needs
- Monitors and maintains production dates and budgets
- Participates in production planning and technical problem solving
- Maintains art database digital product files and prepares files for reprints.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience; Related work experience may be considered to fulfill education requirement
Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite design applications including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Excellent collaborative and interpersonal communication skills
Effective at managing time effectively to meet deadlines, with a focus on maintaining flexibility
Experience in coordinating and executing multiple creative projects in a fast-paced environment
- Member of or attending an evangelical Christian church

Overview
Lifeway is hiring a full-time Graphic Designer. This Graphic Designer position will be responsible for the conceptualization, creation, and management of print and digital publishing assets across various platforms. This role involves developing cover concepts, building our interior templates, and serving on a creative publishing team focused on resourcing the church with small-group Bible studies. The ideal candidate should be both creative and detail-oriented, capable of delivering compelling visuals that drive engagement and reinforce the brand's mission within the Christian resource publishing industry.
