What We're Looking For
PCCA is seeking a Graphic Designer I who is excited to grow their skills and contribute to a creative team. As part of our in-house marketing agency, you'll support the development of digital and print materials, collaborate on projects, and learn from experienced designers. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their design career who’s eager to gain experience, build their portfolio and grow within a dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design Support: Assist with the creation of digital and print design materials including graphics for social media, presentations, brochures, and signage.
Asset Production: Modify existing designs to fit various formats and update branded materials as needed.
Collaboration: Work with senior designers, copywriters, multimedia specialists, account managers and stakeholders to understand project needs and execute accordingly.
File Preparation: Help prepare final artwork for print and digital use, ensuring files are correctly formatted.
Learning & Development: Stay open to feedback, participate in team critiques and expand your knowledge of design tools and best practices.
Brand Consistency: Ensure design elements align with PCCA’s brand standards and visual identity.
Qualifications
Education: Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or related field required.
Experience: Qualifying experience gained by attending a specialized art/design school, relevant internships or agency/client-side employment.
Software Skills: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Experience with/interest in motion graphics and editing programs (After Effects, Premiere Pro) and emerging platforms (Figma) highly desired.
Portfolio: A portfolio showing examples of design work, either academic, personal, or freelance.
Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills and a willingness to collaborate.
Detail Orientation: A strong eye for detail and layout consistency.
Growth Mindset: Eagerness to learn, take feedback constructively, and improve skills over time.
