Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two years of experience in a graphic design role with demonstrated mastery in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and digital publishing tools
Experience working in higher education or student recruitment
Experience working with many constituents and providing a wide array of design materials/products
Familiarity with modern UX/UI principles for digital/mobile platforms
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, digital arts, or a related field
Ability to speak Spanish and English
Strong creative vision paired with excellent project management and organization skills
Ability to independently deliver projects from concept through implementation
Excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to collaborate in a team environment
Strong attention to detail; willingness to respond to feedback and iterate on designs
Familiarity with tracking engagement metrics and evaluating project ROI
Ability to adapt to a remote, flexible work schedule based on project demands
Lead the design and development of the Digital Experience Guide, a mobile platform that offers prospective students personalized content on admissions, student life, Aggie traditions, and stories from the Peer Recruiters at Texas A&M
Collaborate with Recruitment Operations staff to ensure content meets strategic goals for recruitment, matriculation, and impact
Convert key publications and guides for counselors, admitted students, and other stakeholders into engaging, interactive digital formats
Track, analyze, and report user experience metrics, making iterative improvements to optimize reach and effectiveness
Design innovative and brand-aligned promotional material s for recruitment events, high school visits, college fairs, L.E.A.D. Summits, National Scholar Programs, First-Gen Weekend, Counselor Programs, and related outreach efforts
Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Recruitment Operations on providing campus and Prospective Student Center partners on product needs, source creative options, and finalize artwork for annual orders
Research trends in graphic design, higher education outreach, recruitment and admissions, and promotional products to keep fresh, cost-effective, and audience-relevant inventory
Manage creative fulfillment process for the distribution of printed and digital materials, including design of postcards, stickers, counselor mailer boxes, VIP boxes, and targeted outreach campaigns
Coordinate with business partners to ensure cohesive delivery, tracking, and assessment of product return on investment
Respond to ad hoc creative needs for special programs such as Regents’ Scholars, National Scholars, and unique Prospective Student Center initiatives
Work closely with the Recruitment Operations Program Assistant on messaging and storytelling strategies that accompany designed materials and promote recruitment goals
Coordinate with the Program Coordinator II to visually and digitally feature Peer Recruiters in unique storytelling platforms
Participate in design review meetings, contribute creative solutions, and respond to feedback constructively

What we want
The Office of Admissions - Undergraduate Recruitment seeks a part-time Graphic Designer II with a passion for creativity, innovation, and storytelling. The ideal candidate will have proven design experience, a keen eye for visual communication, and the ability to craft compelling materials that speak to prospective and admitted students. We’re looking for someone who can support promotional and fulfillment needs, while also helping lead our new digital recruitment initiatives. This position is a part-time project-based and supports the evolving needs of the admissions cycle.

Salary: $21.64/Hourly

Portfolio: A portfolio is STRONGLY SUGGESTED.
Position Details: Work hours are flexible and based on project deadlines, workload, and the cycle of recruitment and admissions. Work hours will be no more than 15 hours per week. Can be remote depending on project needs. This is a wage position established to accommodate a temporary organizational need. As such, TAMU does not guarantee any set number of hours or length of employment in this role.
