      Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 333-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus including at a network of Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

      Job Role Summary

      The Graphic Designer provides creative design services for print, broadcast, online and digital communications that strengthen the brand of Eskenazi Health. This position partners with advertising agencies and design firms to assure the brand of Eskenazi Health is protected as well as applied appropriately.

      Essential Functions and Responsibilities

      • Provides creative design services for print, broadcast, online and digital communications that strengthen the brand of Eskenazi Health
      • Partners with advertising agencies and design firms to assure the brand of Eskenazi Health is protected as well as applied appropriately
      • Educates Eskenazi Health staff and partner organizations on formal identity standards for health system communications to enhance organizational image and brand
      • Designs identity treatments for Eskenazi Health programs and services
      • Guides the utilization of Eskenazi Health's logo and ensure its consistent placement in both internal and external communication pieces
      • Coordinates with Eskenazi Health internal print shop as well as external firms to monitor print materials utilizing the Eskenazi Health identity
      • Utilizes appropriate hardware and software to design communication pieces representing Eskenazi Health and/or one of its programs or services
      • Provides professional consultation to the health system and its departments regarding branding and creative design of communication pieces
      • Participates in professional societies and activities related to design and health care marketing. Networks with counterparts to maintain current knowledge of issues and concerns in the field
      • Maintains age and job-specific competencies described according to department, area and unit specific competencies

      Job Requirements

      Bachelor's degree in art, graphic design, journalism, communications or marketing or equivalent experience required

      • Knowledge of marketing and communication activities gained through at least five (5) years in the field
      • Valid Indiana driver's license

      • Strong interpersonal communication skills necessary to interact effectively with colleagues, healthcare system personnel, business and community leaders
      • Ability to create and make written and oral presentations in a clear and concise manner
      • Ability to organize and prioritize projects and function effectively under pressure of significant work deadlines
      • Comfortable working independently and initiating services
      • Ability to establish productive relationships with internal departments and outside agencies
      • Ability to research and collect data for planning purposes
      • Ability to organize, motivate and work with a wide variety of staff
      • Age appropriate cognitive abilities, skills, techniques and communications are detailed in the department, area, unit job-specific/age-specific competencies
