Job Description: Graphic Designer (Visual Merchandising and Store Design)
Job Summary: Tatcha seeks a skilled Graphic Designer to join their Visual Merchandising and Store Design team in San Francisco (hybrid role). Reporting to the International VM + Store Design Manager, the Designer will create 2D layouts and production-ready files for global in-store environments.
Responsibilities:
• Create initial graphic design layouts using assets from evergreen and launch photoshoots, demonstrating a strong understanding of graphic design principles to ensure timeless, clean, and easily readable designs.
• Design multiple iterations of layouts tailored for various countries based on the initial design.
• Collaborate with VM and store designers to adapt layouts according to country or retailer-specific needs.
• Present design options and layouts to the Creative Director and cross-functional partners.
• Collaborate with various teams (international markets, international marketing, retail marketing, copy team, education, and sales) to determine the most suitable layouts for each in-store scenario.
• Produce production-ready files for all iterations across retailers, shop-in-shops, pop-ups, events, and promotional spaces.
• Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions and in-store environment discussions, working with the creative team to maintain a cohesive brand message.
• Translate the brand's visual identity into in-store graphics and signage across all units.
• Assist with additional projects as directed by the manager.Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in graphic design for in-store and/or out-of-home (OOH) campaigns.
• Familiarity with in-store graphics and layouts.
• Proficiency in creating production-ready files for vendors and various printing technologies.
• Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Exceptional typography skills.
• SketchUp knowledge (a plus).
• Experience in the beauty or retail industry (skincare and/or prestige beauty experience preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google platforms.
• Experience with Wrike or similar project management platforms (a plus).
• Flexibility with work hours to accommodate project needs and online meetings across different time zones.
• Based in San Francisco.• Ability to learn quickly and take initiative.
• Skilled in creating graphic design layouts and production-ready files for in-store environments.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of self-proofing work.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and teammates.
• Strong time management skills to ensure timely project completion.
• Ability to clearly explain design rationale to stakeholders and managers.
• Understanding of current graphic trends and printing technologies.
• Collaborative team player willing to assist colleagues beyond direct responsibilities.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
