      Position Highlights This graphic design position develops and maintains a multitude of design projects within the UArizona Health Sciences Office of Communications. Working collaboratively with the strategic internal initiative stakeholders, in order to create assets for web, email marketing, logos, events, stories and a variety of print media applications. Establishes a compelling brand for the University and Health Sciences to ensure its' competitive advantage. Oversees in-bound and outbound digital communications, and the development, production and dissemination of marketing and communications collateral to internal and external constituents.

      Duties & Responsibilities
      • Communicates with internal; strategic initiative stakeholders to gather information to create a variety of graphic assets according to specification and adheres to a clearly articulated production timetable, and coordinating with outside vendors as needed.
      • Collaborate on design projects both within the office of communications as well as with our partners, stakeholders and program directors in our health sciences centers and strategic initiatives.
      • Develops and builds logos, and a variety of other design assets based on the expressed needs of the Health Sciences Office of the Senior Vice President Office of Communications.
      • Gather information from colleagues, and curating photo assets from fellow multimedia photojournalists to formulate and create print and digital marketing and communications materials to meet the brand messaging needs of the Health Sciences.
      • Applies design fundamentals to conceive overall concept, design look and feel of each project across all related materials in print and digital media.
      • Creates a variety of assets for events, presentations, lectures and email marketing in a way that clearly advances the UArizona Health Sciences brand messaging and is highly effective in visually appealing to the appropriate intended audience.
      • Ensures adherence to media inventory storage standards and coordinates these efforts based on predetermined best practices for the University and Health Sciences Office of Communications Creative Area.
      • Manages and communicates all workflows to the Art Director and through shared task management software.

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

      • Ability to communicate clearly all aspects of any design project utilizing industry accepted terminology with internal clients and outside vendors.
      • Familiarity with digital asset management systems and shared content storage.
      • Basic knowledge and use of graphic design principles, theories and concepts.
      Minimum Qualifications
      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
      • One (1) year of relevant work experience required.
      Preferred Qualifications ● Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.

      ● Experience using design concepts to originate and create design projects.
      ● Experience in a setting where detailed instruction to perform work is delivered and work is reviewed closely for accuracy.
