What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct road-stream crossing inventories and assess stream geomorphology and infrastructure
- Lead post-construction monitoring fieldwork and coordinate efforts with partners
- Assist with permitting, project planning, and grant writing
- Conduct outreach to project partners, stakeholders, and the public
- Oversee seasonal interns and assist with habitat restoration projects
What is Required (Qualifications):
- A B.S. in fisheries management, aquatic ecology, watershed management, environmental science, geomorphology, hydrology, engineering, or geology
- Working knowledge of fisheries, aquatic resource management, or restoration design principles
- Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with road-stream crossing or stream habitat assessment methods
- Familiarity with survey equipment, such as total stations and survey rods
- Experience with ArcGIS, Arc Collector, and Survey 123
- Comfort with backcountry camping and hiking in difficult terrain
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
