- Leading R&I projects within a multidisciplinary team to develop perfluorinated ionomers for fuel cell and water electrolysis applications.
- Managing complex projects independently, including reporting on results analysis and key findings.
- Assisting in the design of new ionomer grades and identifying target physico-chemical properties influencing product design.
- Supporting the development and scale-up of manufacturing processes from laboratory to pilot scale.
- Defining parameters for process development and improvement while meeting product specification requirements.

- A Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemical or Material Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or Material Science.
- Experience in polymer chemistry, polymer physics, and polymer characterization, with a background in organic chemistry.
- Knowledge of polymerization chemistry and engineering, along with experience in radical or condensation polymerization.
- Experience in process development and scale-up, with proficiency in process technology.
- Familiarity with colloid chemistry is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, organizational skills, and developed leadership abilities in project management.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
- Proficiency in IT applications.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Chemical or Material Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or Material Science.
- Experience in polymer chemistry, polymer physics, and polymer characterization.
- Background in organic chemistry.
- Knowledge of polymerization chemistry and engineering.
- Industrial or academic experience in radical or condensation polymerization.
- Experience in process development and scale-up (from laboratory to pilot scale) and knowledge of process technology.
- Knowledge in colloid chemistry is a plus.
- Hands-on, independent, self-motivated contributor with strong problem-solving skills.

We are looking for:
A dedicated researcher with a background in chemistry, industrial chemistry, or chemical engineering to spearhead Syensqo's endeavors in the emerging hydrogen sector. The ideal candidate will lead Research and Innovation (R&I) projects aimed at developing ionomers for hydrogen production and conversion applications, while also contributing to the design of advanced manufacturing processes.
