What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Investigate and resolve member, Health Plan Partner-member, and network provider grievances and appeals
- Process all appeals within regulatory guidelines and respond in writing to members and providers
- Verify information related to data entry, claims submissions, authorizations, and workflow processes
- Interface with internal and external entities to maintain positive and professional relationships
- Occasionally intake all member and provider grievances and appeals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 years of dental background
- At least 2 years of office administrative support experience in healthcare
- Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including appeals guidelines established by CMS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a Quality Management Department
- Familiarity with dental terminology and dental insurance plans
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Availability to work overtime when required
