  Grinder / Grinding Department – Pageland, SC (Bypass)

  Summary: The Grinder B position is responsible for grinding castings per instructions and inspection of the parts after being ground. Responsible for maintaining the production standard for the job. Keep machine and area clean. Must follow all of the plant safety rules and wear all of the required safety equipment.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to grind castings per instructions.
  • Must keep machine and work area clean.
  • Must follow all safety rules and wear safety equipment.
  • Maintain production standards.

  Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be able to maintain production standards.
  • Must understand written and verbal work instructions
  • Must be able to learn final Inspection duties
  • Must be able to learn how to operate trim dies
  • Must be able to perform all other jobs within the grinding department as needed for workflow

  Desired Skills:

  • Must have an excellent attendance record.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to work well with different personalities.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
