- Responsible for scheduling, coordinating and invoicing ground school classes for Private, Instrument and Commercial training (mostly Part 141 training, but may have some Part 61 students) at the Hillsboro campus.
- Manage team of ground instructors at the Hillsboro campus to accomplish ground training goals determined by the Chief team.
- Responsible to track and ensure all students are making timely and satisfactory progress through the ground school syllabus.
- Must maintain accurate and complete records of all 141 and 61 ground training.
- Teach ground school classes.
- Work with the Chief Instructors to maintain good communication between students, instructors, other staff, and customers.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Must have at least FAA AGI or IGI certificate or CFI/CFII.
- Knowledgeable of subject matter contained in Private, Instrument, and Commercial Pilot ground training to include multi-engine.
- Organized and motivated.
- Strong people skills.
- FAA CFI, CFII and/or MEI certificate holder
- Recent flight instruction experience
- Recent ground instruction experience
- Experience working with international and/or English second-language students
- Hold a valid US Driver’s License
- This is a full time, hourly position.
- Compensation is determined based on qualifications and experience.
- Expected work schedule is M-F, or other as arranged with supervisor.

Job Description:
The Ground Training Program Manager is responsible for developing ground training plans and coordinating ground school classes as part of Hillsboro Aero Academy (HAA) flight training. This individual will be responsible for teaching and/or supervising the teaching of ground school classes. This individual will be responsible for revising the training curriculum as needed to reflect changes in regulations, HAA company procedures or policies, and updated resource publications. This individual is expected to continuously strive to improve the quality and efficiency of HAA ground training courses.
