Job Description
- Req#: GROUN002077
- Work in concert with Director of Grounds on field expectations
- Daily maintenance of all playing fields and grounds
- Maintenance of grounds equipment
- Assist in ordering materials, equipment, fertilizer, etc., as needed
- Assist with snow removal operation
- Perform NFL required field testing and reporting
- Work in concert with Event Services team for Fieldhouse event needs
- Assist with Gameday field setup and staffing – net crew, field setup, goal posts, netting, field logos, striping, etc.
- Oversee general maintenance of training camp fields at St John Fisher
- Other duties as needed
- 5 years of sports field management related experience
- Minimum two-year degree in field/turf management preferred
- Have experience in field layout and painting
- General knowledge of irrigation system management
- Ability to work independently as well as supervise others as necessary
- New York state pesticide and fertilizer application licenses to be obtained within 1 year
- Valid NYS driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, as needed
- Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Proactive knowledge, training and/or education of current best practices with NFL field management technologies and standards
- Salary is commensurate with experience and will begin at $50,000 to $60,000 plus overtime
