  The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
  As a Grounds Keeper, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Efficiently and safely operate power equipment including but not limited to skid steers, trucks, snowplows, edgers, sod cutters, rototillers, sweepers, chainsaws, mowers, irrigation controls and various hand tools

  • Planting, sodding fertilizing, mowing, thatching and applying weed, insect and/or fungus control materials

  • Installing and maintaining improved landscapes across a large campus

  • Identify and manage invasive species and plant material health issues

  • Support department sustainability initiatives

  Your Skills and Expertise
  

  To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Must possess a current and valid driver’s license.

  Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Landscape certificate and/or evidence of satisfactory completion of a two-year certificate course at an accredited school of agriculture, horticulture, soils, arboriculture or agronomy

  • Experience in grounds maintenance and landscape installation in a private, public, government or military environment

  • Skills include safe and efficient equipment operation, knowledge of tree and plant material

  Pay & Benefits:

  • The starting rate of pay for this position is $36.61. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences, and Retirement Benefits, etc.).   This position will require:

  • Working 40 hours/4 days per week (7 am to 5 pm)

  • Frequent physical demands, including:

    • Lifting 50 lbs.

    • frequent standing, sitting, squatting, reaching
