  Detailed Job Description:

  Performs a wide variety of landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, tilling, sodding, fertilizing, etc., in order to maintain campus grounds; performs landscape maintenance; assists in fall clean-up of beds and areas; operates motor vehicles, tractors, chemical spray equipment, mowers, edgers, weed eaters, small hand tools, and small snow removal equipment; assists in snow removal; assists in cleaning and repairing landscape equipment and tools; may be exposed to unpleasant odors; works in all types of weather; works first shift but is subject to changes in shift, hours, days, and/or location as operations dictate; subject to 24 hour emergency call. Will require successful completion of a criminal background check.

  Minimum Education Requirement:

  Per Classified Civil Svc Specs or equivalent educ/exp

  Qualifications:

  REQUIRED: Three (3) months experience in grounds maintenance, valid Driver License; must obtain (within 180 days of employment) and maintain Ohio pesticide operator's license (category 6a).

  DESIRED: One (1) year or more experience and training in grounds maintenance and landscaping.

  Additional Information:

  The targeted salary range for this position is $16.30-$20.38 per hour.
