      Job Description
      Under general supervision from higher level groundskeeper or supervisor provides labor and/or operates equipment necessary to accomplish tasks associated with maintaining the grounds of The Ohio State University Wooster Campus (OARDC/ATI) and Secrest Arboretum; mows and installs turf areas; plants, mulches, weeds, prunes trees, shrubs and flowers; assists in tree removal and timber stand improvement activities; applies pesticides and fertilizers; removes snow/ice from campus walkways and building entrances; operates and repairs grounds maintenance equipment; applicant required to obtain pesticide license within 12 months of employment; may require overtime work or work an adjusted schedule to meet peak seasonal labor load; works outside in all weather conditions.

      Minimum Education Required
      Per Classified Civil Svc Specs or equivalent combination of education and experience


      Required Qualifications Must pass and maintain current Ohio pesticide operator's license within 12 months of hire; may also require valid
      Ohio commercial driver's license and evidence of satisfactory driving record for insurability by university;;
      successfully pass a background check
