- High school diploma/GED
- Two (2) years experience or equivalent in groundskeeping or related field
- One year building maintenance experience
- One year heavy equipment operation
- Valid Arkansas driver’s license
- Assist grounds foreman in construction of and maintaining facilities grounds.
- Comply with safety regulations.
- Set up equipment and operate to perform assigned jobs.
- Assist grounds crew in repair and maintenance of the grounds of buildings including fencing, pest control, and drainage
- Assist in playground safety, maintenance, and inspection.
- Demonstrate the proper use and maintenance of all hand/power tools and grounds equipment.
- Some building maintenance.
- Some heavy equipment operation.
- Work with and assist other staff/trades as directed.
- Perform some heavy lifting.
- Perform work at varying heights on a ladder.
- Perform work in extreme weather conditions.
- Perform work underneath, on top of, and in attics of buildings.
- Respond to after hour emergencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REPORTS TO: Grounds Foreman
JOB GOAL: To help maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times.

Salary Range: Range 11 - Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule ($15.84/hr. - $29.03/hr. depending on relevant experience)
Length of Contract:: 244 contract days
FLSA Status: Non - Exempt
Personnel Status: Classified
EVALUATION :
Performance of this job will be evaluated according to provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
