- Use analytical and numerical groundwater models to support contaminated site investigations and water resource projects
- Processing and interpretation of model results and hydrogeological data for reports
- Learn about geologic and hydrogeologic investigations, hydrogeologic testing, geologic and hydrogeologic visualization, analytical and numerical groundwater flow modeling, contaminated sites investigations, and development of conceptual site models
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
- Actively enrolled as a junior or senior in an accredited Geology or Hydrology or related, Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2025 or later.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- Understanding of groundwater modelling through course work or undergraduate projects/thesis
- Exposure to industry-standard numerical modelling packages (e.g., MODFLOW, Groundwater Vistas, FEFLOW, HydroGeoSphere, MIKE SHE)
- Written and verbal communication skills (including making presentations, leading discussions, technical documentation, proposal/report writing, etc.), including English fluency
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
- Actively enrolled in an accredited Geology or Hydrology or related, Master’s or PhD program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2025 or later.
- Strong all-around academic knowledge of physical hydrogeology and geology
- Strong computer skills including working with GIS-type software, digital databases, and visualization software (Leapfrog); and Programming experience including Python, R, and VBA.

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Groundwater Modeler Intern – Summer 2025 for our Redmond, WA office. Be involved in projects with our Environment, Remediation, and Water Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
This internship will be part of the WSP Summer Internship Program. As a summer intern, you have the opportunity to participate in our 12-week program scheduled to start on May 19th, 2025. The individual start date of the internship may be flexible.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $19.13 - $27.50
