- Drive safe work practices amongst the staff to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Company and OSHA safety rules and regulations, understanding machine safeguards, recognizing and reporting safety hazards, and wearing required PPE.
- Ensure that each team member has a clear understanding of Klein Tools Quality Standards as it relates to their area of responsibility.
- Ensure that area of responsibility is producing the appropriate amount of units per day, meeting the requirements of the plant operations plan, schedule and any relevant production trackers.
- Conduct and/or facilitate training for team members, ensuring they understand quality standards, set-up and operation of equipment, manufacturing processes, plant regulations, safety rules and hazards, and other job-related procedures and standards. Complete timely audits of trainee's progress and communicate to Supervision trainee's development.
- Assist Production Supervisor with scheduling work and assigning machines as dictated by process and equipment requirements.
- Work with inter- and intra-departmental staff to improve productivity and quality standards in order to meet customer requirements, work with Manufacturing Technicians and Maintenance Technicians to analyze tool and machine problems, identify root cause(s), and implement corrective solution(s).
- Troubleshoot/analyze problems and communicate to Production Supervisor when required.
- Participate in the Safety Committee at least one quarter per year, and conduct safety meeting in the absence of the Production Supervisor.
- Perform quality checks on products verified by blue print specifications, maintain log of inspections, and work with production employee to correct all problems and notify Supervision.
- Keep facility's work areas clean and in orderly condition, complying with established 6S standards.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- High School Degree or equivalent is preferred and three (3) years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Must possess forklift certification.
- Must possess knowledge using hand tools.
- Demonstrate basic mathematical, reading, writing, and comprehension as well as communication skills.
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrate the capacity to shift priorities.
- Ability to work closely and effectively with all employees and management staff.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems. Ability to use precision measuring tools and blueprints.
- Willingness to become First Responder certified.
The Group Leader is responsible for mentoring and coaching all production employees. This position will assist the Production Supervisors with work activities of hourly production employees. This position will also troubleshoot and analyze production problems and perform product quality checks and documentation.QualificationsPhysical Demand Requirements

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
