      Position Summary

      Nestlé Research (NR) is based in Lausanne, Switzerland, employs approximately 1000 people and is comprised of five Research Institutes: Food Sciences, Health Sciences, Food Safety & Analytical Sciences, Packaging Sciences, and Agricultural Sciences.       We are looking for a Group Leader Portfolio Management, who will be responsible for managing a team of Portfolio Managers and Analysts. In this role, you will act as a co-pilot to the NR Leadership Team to ensure maximum value creation by driving portfolio alignment with strategic objectives, providing impactful analytical insights and promoting the efficient utilization of resources.

      Your key responsibilities will include coordinating project portfolio planning and prioritization, aggregating and providing data analytics, monitoring project compliance, and promoting the implementation of best practices.

      A Day in the Life of a Group Leader Portfolio Management

      • Analyze and evaluate project portfolio performance at both project and Institute levels using key performance indicators (KPIs)
      • Foster a culture of prioritization, cross-functional collaboration, and business impact
      • Ensure timely and high-quality information is available to relevant Portfolio Mangement stakeholders for effective decision-making
      • Establish consistent practices across Institutes and provide visibility of the entire portfolio at the NR Leadership Team level
      • Take ownership of the innovation process and system (I2L), including audit responsibilities
      • Ensure understanding and proper application of I2L
      • Continuously update and improve guidelines for enhanced impact and streamlined processes
      • Serve as the Time Administrator for R&D Time and provide training and coordination for I2L super users
      • Manage a team of specialists, including resource allocation, performance management, and professional development

      What will make you successful

      • A Minimum of 8 years experience in consulting, investment banking, portfolio management, or similar
      • At least 3 years people management experience
      • Scientific background and/or knowledge is a plus
      • Data-savvy with an analytical mindset
      • Ability to bring data to life and provide actionable insights as a business partner
      • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence without authority
      • Proficiency in the French and English languages
