      About the Role:
      Group Manager for Turbine Rotors, Compressor Rotors and Tool Design. Manages engineering for design and development of technologies, components, systems, products, or services.


      What You Will Do:

      • Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for engineering teams

      • Motivating and developing team members and leaders

      • Providing specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to various areas of the organization

      • Managing high-impact, short and long duration engineering initiatives and projects

      • Ensuring achievement of engineering plan and product quality

      • Coordinating work with cross functional teams

      • Monitors the work of others in the group and ensures adherence to policies through the interpretation and application of procedures, practices and guidelines

      • Supports the team to develop and document group practices and guidelines

      • Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum

      What You Have:

      • A Bachelor degree in Manufacturing/Engineering or closely related degree OR five or more years of related experience is required

      • Strong knowledge of functional area

      • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment

      • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

      • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations

      • Technical Excellence: Knowledge of manufacturing operations

      • Customer/Market Focus: Understanding of the importance of remaining aware of shifting market priorities and ability to respond to internal and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value

      • Managing People: Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace

      • Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives

      Summary Pay Range:

      $125,925.00 - $188,887.00

      Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
