- Providing general administrative support to academic staff and students
- Ensuring courses are set up and published in the University’s Learning Management System, Canvas.
- Compiling a list of Staff Student Consultative Committee representatives, setting up meetings, agendas and minute taking.
- Supporting all examination processes, such as, compiling and updating nominations of examiners and assessors, online and paper-based tests and exam papers, final grades submission, test and exam aegrotat/compassionate applications.
- Coordinating and administering postgraduate dissertations and research projects, including nominations of examiners and assessors, and final result submission.
- Have some tertiary work experience
- Have a natural ability to build positive and effective working relationships with stakeholders
- Have an innate ability to multi-task effectively to manage a busy workload and prioritise well in order to meet deadlines
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications including, Outlook, Teams, Excel and Word

The Faculty of Arts is seeking to appoint an organised, efficient and pro-active Group Services Administrator to join our cohesive, high performing team. This role provides pivotal administrative support to academic staff through a range of activities primarily focused on teaching support and course administration, including assessment and examination administration for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. While this position primarily supports the School of Social Sciences, you may be required to provide support to other schools within the faculty when the need arises.
The key accountabilities of this role include:Candidates with knowledge and experience of Student Services Online (SSO), the University’s LMS system (CANVAS), SharePoint and proficiency in Microsoft suite of packages, particularly Teams, will be strongly considered.
This is a part-time (20 hours per week/ 0.53 FTE), permanent opportunity. The remuneration for this role is $50,700 - $63,900, per annum pro rata, dependent on skills and experience.
