      Max bill rate: $60 Location: Onsite Duration: 12 months Background and Purpose of the Job: Ensure a safe work environment for all the construction workers at the job site. The Construction Safety Manager works hand-in-hand with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), project team members and contractors to develop the safety strategy for the project and enforce safety regulations and policies. In addition to being the safety enforcer, this position also helps construction managers think proactively and develop a strong safety culture. Who are you and what will you do: • Lead construction safety for the Project team, bringing resources from the local, regional, and global teams and as well following regulations and policies from safety agencies (e.g. OSHA, SHE-400) • Develop the construction safety strategy and lead the execution of the strategy through the project team and construction team • Ensure the construction safety policies and requirements are being followed throughout the project • Training of the Project team and construction team in the safety rules • Work to have an accident-free project • Plan and lead the execution of emergency evacuation simulations • Investigate incidents together with the responsible area • Develop policies and report concerns to local agencies if needed • Use methodologies as cameras, drones, sensors, etc. for real time visualization at the construction site and define improvement actions and elimination of hazards • Develop the safety culture in everyone through training, daily dialogues, risk assessment tools, investigations, use of information, etc. • Bring creative solutions to have a safe work environment where everyone is responsible for safety • Develop, lead, and execute the process for entering, leaving and monitoring employees and contractors at the site • Ensure personal protective equipment is being used by everyone • Lead risk assessments for Unilever and evaluate and Review risk assessments from contractors You’re a strategy guru Manage the SHE teams responsible to deliver accident free construction, Occupational Health, Safety and Environment results. You’re a changemaker: Influence senior management, contractors, and workers to drive safety and environmental leadership through on ground leadership. You’re a paradox navigator: Reduce the site’s environmental impact of construction activities. You’re a culture & change champion: Assist the site leader/project team to develop and lead the internal crisis committees and safety committee; support the site leader in leading serious incident investigation and analysis. What You’ll Need To Succeed • Bachelor’s Degree in in Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Sustainability preferred • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of Safety, Health and Environmental or related Factory Engineering or Manufacturing experience.
