      Overview

      The Tax Compliance and Reporting team within Group Tax Americas, which supports Deutsche Bank’s business in the Americas Region, is seeking a tax professional with experience in U.S. federal, state and local tax compliance, provision and reporting, particularly with respect to financial institutions and a global asset management business. The Team works with cutting-edge technology to transform the numerous tax filings to an efficient, timely, and accurate tax reporting for external stakeholders (e.g. tax authorities, auditors) and very effective quarterly tax reporting required for senior management and other internal stakeholders, in line with applicable tax legislation and regulatory/statutory requirements. You will be working on innovative projects involving tax footnote disclosures focusing on tax provision controls and quality oversight as well as state tax nexus and state tax apportionment analysis. Our team of experts will be there to coach and support your development to ensure you excel in this role. You will have the opportunity to engage with other Group Tax members in Tax Advisory and Tax Controversy, and members of the management team.

      What You’ll Do

      • Preparation and analysis of quarterly and annual federal and state tax provisions (ASC 740/FAS109) including review of consolidated unitary state tax provision and state tax attributes and tax footnote disclosures

      • Preparation and review of federal and various state and city income and franchise tax returns covering Deutsche Bank’s business in the Americas Region, with a focus on the asset management business

      • Quarterly review of state legislative updates/developments and analysis of various state impacts on the effective tax rate

      • Review and processing of quarterly estimated state and city tax payments and state extensions

      • Preparation of quarterly of quarterly federal and state income taxes payable analysis and roll-forward. Assisting tax controversy team with various state and local tax examinations

      • Supporting Deutsche Bank’s FATCA Responsible Office on FATCA-related matters involving the global asset management business

      Skills You’ll Need

      • Expertise in the state and local tax compliance and reporting (experience with an asset management business preferred)

      • In-depth knowledge of Corptax provision and compliance

      • Knowledge of SAP R3 and PBW

      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

      • Educated to bachelor’s degree level with extensive financial institution experience

      Expectations

      It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

      The salary range for this position in New York City is $100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
