      Job Title- Lead Engineer– Corporate Bank Technology – Phoenix Process

      Location-Pune

      Within the Corporate Bank, the Phoenix Program is established to focus on the 2029 target operating model, business and required technical architecture to enable a new level of efficiency and quality of customer experience for the Banks home market in Germany.

      The key deliverable of the Process area in Phoenix is the E2E automation of optimized business processes with the help auf workflow automation technology. To achieve that you work closely together with Corporate Bank’s business and DB technology staff what provides a unique opportunity to apply latest technology while learning about the products and processes of the bank.

      As a Lead Engineer – Corporate Bank Technology – Phoenix Process you will be leading a squad for workflow automation.

      Role Description

      • Lead the team by example and through hands on technical skills and deliveries and plan delivery timelines, resources, and budgets.
      • Use your technical experience for designing and developing excellent new and existing applications within a cloud-based high availability architecture.
      • Build shared platform architecture across our applications, allowing for quicker time to market for new solutions and assist in the adoption of modern engineering practices and design principles across the team, while driving Agile principles.
      • Engage with business sponsors and stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure adherence to the business strategy, pro-actively participate in defining ways to meet strategic objectives.
      • Foster collaborative working relationships with senior colleagues across the firm.
      • Fully hands-on lead developer responsible for technical design, coding, automated unit testing and integration.
      • Liaise with the Product Owner, Architects, Product Managers, software engineers/developers and testers regarding the development and implementation of product lines using various technologies.
      • Build and support applications as Lead Engineer
      • Problem solving by providing optimal solutions building re-usable services.
      • Ensure that the end-to-end solution remains aligned to the technical applications strategy and target architecture.
      • Conducting, leading, presenting solutions that are user friendly and technically robust.
      • Ensure a high-quality standard of deliverables according to Industry standards and best practices.
      • Provide professional consultancy and support in response to the queries from developers and business on security access.

      Your key responsibilities

      • Leverage your technical experience for designing and developing new and existing applications within a cloud-based high availability architecture.
      • Lead technical team members by example and through hands on technical skills and deliveries.
      • Build shared platform architecture across Merchant Solutions applications allowing quicker time to market for new solutions.
      • Assist in the adoption of modern engineering practices and design principles across the team, drive Agile principles.
      • Engage with business sponsors and stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure adherence to the business strategy, pro-actively participate in defining ways to meet strategic objectives.
      • Partner with QA to ensure quality solutions are delivered to end users.
      • Foster collaborative working relationships with senior colleagues across the firm.
      • Organize provisioning of the Level 3 support
      • End to End process automation, process workflow automation using camunda
      • Business Process Model and Notation expert
      • Process centric while defining software processes.

      Your skills and experiences

      • Strong experience in workflow automation platforms (Camunda, Temporal)
      • Strong, in-depth, hands-on knowledge of Core Java, Database Technologies (e.g. SQL, Hibernate, NoSQL, MongoDB), micro-service architectures, Kubernetes containerization platforms (GKE, OpenShift)
      • Significant and proven experience in a senior development lead role
      • Strong experience in cloud based (GCP/AWS), distributed, highly available and fault tolerant applications.
      • In-depth experience with build tools (e.g. Maven, Gradle), version control (e.g. git) and continuous integration systems (e.g. Teamcity, Jenkins)
      • Strong knowledge of various design and architectural patterns
      • Knowledge of industry standard processes followed for build, deployment, release, and application support (CI/CD, incident/problem/change management etc.)
      • Experience in frontend / JavaScript technology.
      • Experience leading teams following Agile practices.
      • Experience in strategy planning and governance.
      • Experience in facing business stakeholders.
      • Experience in effectively communicating with and positively influencing diverse stakeholders and team members.
      • Experience in the finance industry and understanding financial products and business processes would be beneficial.
      • Experience working within the Fintech community would be beneficial.
