      Searching for a dynamic, positive, organized individual to fulfil the role of Guidance Counselor.

      This position requires an Indiana Teaching License in the area of School Counselor.

      Responsibilities include but not limited to:

      1. Work with universities on Dual Credit for students and teachers.
      2. Guide individuals and groups of students through the development of educational and career plans.
      3. Counsel individuals and small groups of students toward social and emotional growth;.
      4. Consult with and train teachers, parents and staff regarding needs of students;
      5. Refer students with problems and their parents to special programs, specialists and outside agencies.
      6. Participate in, coordinate and conduct activities that contribute to the effective operation of the counseling program and school.
      7. Pursue continuous professional growth.
      8. Coordinate awards recognition events.
      9. Share responsibilities with freshman orientation, class meetings and special education meetings.
      10. Experience with Pathways recommended.
      11. Master Schedule/Course enrollment experience preferred.

      This position is contracted for 197 days each school year.
