2024-2025 Salary: $17.50 per hour Position: Eight (8) hours per day Twelve (12) month position Benefits: Fourteen (14) paid holidays Life insurance and Long-term disability Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage Paid time off: Days are pro-rated based on start date with the District and are allocated after successful completion of a 60-day probationary period. Three (3) personal leave days Thirteen (13) days accumulated sick leave per year Vacation days GENERAL SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform general office duties in the high school counseling office. Assist the guidance counselors with specific tasks related to serving the needs of all 9th-12th grade students and maintaining files. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Clerical Responsibilities Schedule student/parent appointments with respective counselor and/or school psychologist Process transcripts requests for past, prior and non-graduates, inquiring colleges and employers. Process new student enrollees Process student withdrawals Update cumulative record folders, i.e., Aspire, SAT, ACT, PSAT, Keystone scores Prepare and send prior year graduate cumulative folders/transcripts for preservation Order and maintain office supplies Manage in-house and US mail Update forms NCAA Clearinghouse duties Accommodate outside agencies by setting up appointments or completing paperwork Coordination of Senior Class Particulars: Process college applications Process scholarship applications Distribution of senior bulletin Update transcripts, mid-year & final Process and send various Skyward reports when needed Conduct follow-ups with senior class Purge and shred senior cumulative files Coordination of Events: Schedule and advertise visits with college representatives Maintain various databases and forms including, but not limited to AP, course registration, testing Distribute FAFSA forms and information Student Information System (Skyward): Calculate GPA/Rank Process student schedules Process report cards Process reports for counselors/teachers Maintain DNR list each marking period Update student demographics Process student entries/withdrawals Run reports for report card verification Enroll/Withdraw incoming freshmen as per information via middle school Manually mark all students graduated in Skyward with date of graduation and diploma received Manually mark withdrawn students “NG” after rollover OTHER FUNCTIONS: Update and copy CCHS Profile on a yearly basis Update and copy clubs/organizations booklet on a yearly basis Update and copy Renaissance Brochures on a yearly basis Verify and activate Family Access Skyward applications Other duties as requested QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma Proficient computer skills SPECIAL SKILLS: Effective communications Maintain patience working with students & parents PHYSICAL / MENTAL / ENVIRONMENTAL: Physical Demands: Sitting at desk for extended periods of time. Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and grasping. Light lifting of up to 15 pounds. Sensory Abilities: Visual acuity to read correspondence and computer screens. Auditory acuity to be able to use telephone. Ability to speak clearly and distinctly. Temperament: Ability to work as a member of a team. Must be courteous and able to deal effectively with people. Must be cooperative, congenial, and service oriented. Must maintain confidentiality at all times. Ability to work with limited supervision. Ability to be flexible. Mental Demands: Ability to interpret detailed written and verbal communications. Ability to function in fast-paced and high-pressure work setting. Environment: Primarily office setting.
