Job summary
Rainbow Mother and Baby unit is a 6 bedded specialist commissioned service offering assessment, support and treatment to women suffering from acute mental health illness during their third trimester of pregnancy up to baby being 12mths old.
Admissions are accepted primarily from the east of England. The team work very closely with other key professions to ensure the best outcomes for both Mother and baby therefore strong communication skills are essential.
Perinatal work is an exciting area focusing not only on the individual but the extended family during what can be the most amazing and terrifying time in their life.
Main duties of the job
Actively encouraging and improving the health, physical health and wellbeing of people who use in-patient services at Rainbow Mother and Baby Unit
You willwork autonomously formulating and implementing exercise and wellbeing programmes for patients through admission
You will be working in partnership with other healthcare providers to deliver holistic care that addresses both mental and physical health needs and care plan desired goals.
You will work collaboratively with the MDT to promote recovery pathways including support from the Occupational Therapy team in devising individual and group timetables to support physical and mental wellbeing.
You will co-ordinate the delivery of person centred fitness plans within 1:1 sessions and group activities whilst assessing differing abilities and fitness levels.
