Job summary
We are looking to appoint an additional Medical Director to join us in a role that will be challenging, but hugely rewarding, as we work to remodel healthcare across Medway and Swale. Would you like to develop new models of care and contribute to local and regional service strategies? Do you have experience of working in complex environments crossing health care boundaries?
Main duties of the job
The key purpose of HaCP Medical Director will be to act as the clinical lead for primary care in Medway and Swale area., with the focus on ensuring primary care input into the HaCP clinical strategies, development of Medway and Swale PCNs, and the development of Integrated Neighbourhood teams.

Be practising as a GP in a practice in receipt of a GMS, PMS or APMS contract within the Medway and Swale HaCP area
Demonstrate skill, knowledge and experience of working in a system leadership role, at a senior management level equivalent to a director or Board member.
In depth knowledge of health, care, local government landscape and/ or the voluntary sector
Demonstrable experience of working in a system leadership role at the most senior level (ideally equivalent to board level experience), with associated knowledge and skill to command the respect of other system leaders across Kent and Medway
A capacity to thrive in a complex and politically charged environment of change and uncertainty
Experience of leading change at the most senior level to bring together disparate stakeholder interests
Track record of delivering transformational change
Be competent, confident and willing to give unbiased strategic clinical view
