  Job Title: Hadoop Developer
  Position: Senior Software Engineer

  Works independently under limited supervision and applies knowledge of subject matter in Applications Development. Possess sufficient knowledge and skills to effectively deal with issues, challenges within field of specialization to develop simple applications solutions. Second level professional with direct impact on results and outcome.

  Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Big Data Development using Hadoop Echo system including Pig, Hive and other Cloudera tools
  • Analytical and problem solving skills, applied to a Big Data environment
  • Experience with large-scale distributed applications
  • Proven understanding and related experience with Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Flume, Kafka, Hbase and/or Map/Reduce
  • Hands-on experience with related/complementary open source software platforms and languages (e.g. Java, Linux, Apache, Perl/Python/PHP, Chef, Puppet)
  • Experience with agile/scrum methodologies to iterate quickly on product changes, developing user stories and working through backlog
  • Prefer experience with Cloudera Hadoop distribution components and custom packages
  • Banking experience preferred.
  • Excellent planning, organization, communication and thought leadership skills
  • Coordinate with Team for project deliverables , Lead and document project status meetings
  • Highly organized with good time management skills and Customer service orientation

  Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  Must-Have Skills:
  • Big Data, Cloudera Hadoop Data, Base, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Flume, Kafka, Hbase and/or Map/Reduce
  • Big Data (Hive, Spark,Impala,MapReduce,Hbase, Pig), SQL
  • Solid understanding of End to End data warehousing systems from Data modelling to Reporting
  • Excellent hands-on experience with Bigdata, informatica.
  • Hands-on experience on at least one of the Scripting languages
  • Solid experience in writing SQL queries
  
  Good-to-Have Skills:
  • Java, Linux, Apache, Perl/Python/PHP, Chef, Puppet
  • Good understanding in BI/DW Concepts
