MAINTAINS BUILDING ENVIRONMENT by sustaining building equipment, heating, cooling, electrical and plumbing systems.
Must have basic working knowledge of related trades-crafts (plumbing, carpentry, electricity) and have interior and exterior painting skills. Must be capable of operating power tools in a safe & proper manner. Must have a valid drivers license and a driving record acceptable to our insurance company. You will be required to work on both Easthampton and Northampton campuses. Must be able to work along side of other trades people; carpenter, electrician, plumber. Ability to climb, walk long distances, lift, push, pull, and carry weights from 60 pounds up to and in excess of 125 lbs.
Exposure to mechanical equipment in potentially dangerous situations and the usual risks involved with using ladders, working at high elevations, dust and handling of job related materials and supplies. Exposure to extreme outside temperatures sun exposure, frostbite. On call and overtime flexibility as needed is required.
The schedule for this opportunity is Wednesday - Sunday from 8AM to 4PM with participation in the on-call rotation.
