Job Description

- Perform and/or coordinate tasks related to the upkeep and repair of grounds and buildings, including plumbing, electrical, hanging pictures and general cleaning tasks.
- Coordinate and/or assist in the repair and maintenance of buildings, equipment and/or machinery.
- Perform and/or coordinate tasks related to the maintenance and/or construction of roads/walks and other work of a general maintenance character.
- Check various equipment for proper functioning.
- Clean, oil and assist in the maintenance of tools and mechanical/electrical equipment.
- Handle lumber, tools and other materials.
- May act as night or weekend watchperson if assigned to a remote facility.
- May supervise lower classified workers, as assigned.
- May perform masonry work with regular tasks, as assigned.
- May be required to respond to after-hours calls.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
The Handyman is responsible for maintaining the physical condition and appearance of the properties, related fixed and portable equipment and installation.

Responsibilities:
• Complete assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs requiring conveyor, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC and other equipment, systems or structures• Ensure repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities• Respond to spills and other emergency situations, performing janitorial and maintenance tasks as necessary• Assist in client, site or customer emergencies as needed
