Job Description
The division Cross-Domain Computing Solutions (XC) develops innovative components, systems and functions in the field of vehicle safety, vehicle dynamics, driver assistance and automated driving. Through the combination of systems based on cameras, radar, ultrasonic sensors, electric power steering and active or passive safety systems we not only make driving safer and more comfortable today, but we are also building the basis for the autonomous driving of tomorrow.
The business unit Driver Experience contributes to the XC vision of quality, agility and safety by shaping the future of driver assistance on our journey towards automated & accident-free driving and parking. We are approaching this vision by developing and offering innovative driver assistance systems, components and functions in close cooperation with our customers – nearly all OEMs worldwide.
Your contribution to something big:
The HW Integrator’s task is to create and release final electrical design based on the already developed HW modules:
► Prepare design calculations based on lifetime and environmental conditions (Worst Case Analysis)
► Schematic design creation
► Support Layout development
► Create electrical BOM and define customer design variants
► HW Integration test responsibility:
► Define requirements for final electrical design
► Prepare detailed test specification
► Conduct integration measurements
► Verification of measurement results
► Collaboration in international Simultaneous Engineering Team:
► Cooperate with SW Team in order to verify HW-SW Interface
► Consult with EMC and Reliability experts to achieve design target
► Support of Design Verification (DV) tests, and correction of findings
► Develop cost reduction ideas using cutting edge technologies
Qualifications
What distinguishes you:
► You have a degree in Electronics, Electrical engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or similar fields;
► You have hands-on experience with hardware components;
► You enjoy building-up or re-working electronic samples;
► You are familiar with testing equipment (power supplies, multi-meter, oscilloscope)
► You have basic knowledge in manufacturing and testing;
► You have experience with problem solving tools (Ishikawa, 8D etc.)
► You have Microsoft Office medium skills;
► Good English language knowledge, both in written and verbal
What gives you further advantage:
► Experience with design tools (simulation, engineering calculation, schematic design);
► Experience with sensors and communication protocols (CAN, SPI, LIN, I2C, FlexRay, Ethernet);
► LabVIEW software know-how;
► Willingness to undertake business trips abroad for trainings and project work;
► Basic understanding of Hardware Engineering Processes (V-model)
► Basic understanding of Driver Assistance Components (e.g. Video, Radar, ECUs)
► German language knowledge
