- Design, implement, and lead infrastructure automation solutions using HashiCorp tools such as Terraform, Packer, and Nomad.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate the provisioning and deployment of infrastructure components.
- Apply HashiCorp tools like RAFT or Consul for service discovery and configuration management.
- Implement and maintain configurations for various infrastructure components to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Implement and lead HashiCorp Vault for secure storage and management of sensitive information, including API keys, passwords, and certificates.
- Design and enforce access controls to protect confidential data.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate HashiCorp tools into the overall DevOps pipeline.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure applications are designed for scalability, security, and reliability.
- Collaborates and participates on identification of security needs & recommends plans/resolutions. Implements, tests & monitors info security improvements.
- Advocate and implement Infrastructure as Code principles using Terraform to define, version, and provision infrastructure resources.
- Collaborate with teams to review and optimize Terraform code for efficiency and maintainability.
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions using HashiCorp tools or integrations to ensure the health and performance of infrastructure components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure services.
- Provide training to team members on the usage of HashiCorp tools and standard methodologies.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Implement security standard methodologies in HashiCorp tooling configurations.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations.
- Performs security, compliance, and risk assessments on projects throughout project lifecycle.
- Help complete security projects driven by groups both internal and external to info security
- Helps to generate and implement information security policy life-cycle throughout, including intake, creation, review, approval, implementation, publishing, communication & maintenance
- Participates on information security review of new technologies, designs, and remediation planning efforts
- Maintains visibility inside & outside of info security at an engineering professional level. Works with groups such as application support, engineering ops, finance, privacy, risk management, etc.
- Familiarity with implementation of various threat modeling approaches pertaining to one or more of the following STRIDE, PASTA, TRIKE, ATTACK TREE, DREAD, KILL CHAIN, CAPEC, Mobile Application threat model, Cyber Threat Tree, and data flow diagram
- Familiarity with the analysis of underlying technologies that form the solution vital for the application of threat identification, analysis, and thread model design. The threat model depicts trust boundary, threat agent(s), threat vector(s), and safeguard(s) vital to protect person, asset, data, and T-Mobile brand.
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience (Required)
- 2-4 years experience in info security technology or related field
- 2-4 years experience working in a large enterprise
- Strong knowledge of multiple security subject areas
- Some knowledge of critical security elements, threats, vulnerabilities, and safeguards
- Knowledge of information security policies and regulatory controls (per team function)
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate internally, upward, and multi-functional; ability to work with multi-functional team members to gain support required to accomplish assignments; able to build coalitions
- Always act with tact and integrity, and work with a variety of individuals in a positive and productive manner
- Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, and multitask
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks to complete independently; Ability to work under pressure and meet timelines
- Knowledge of current technological trends and developments in the area of info security
- Presentation skills to large and small audiences
- Subject matter expert in a few facets of network & information security, including Firewall policy design, SSL Certificate management, vulnerability analysis & mitigation, and other topics as assigned
- Proven experience working with HashiCorp tools, particularly Terraform, Vault, Consul, Nomad, and Packer
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and practices
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
