      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Utilize technical coding expertise to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes to outpatient visit types
      - Collaborate with Patient Accounting, Registration, case managers, and other clinical areas to provide coding reimbursement expertise
      - Interpret health record documentation to report appropriate diagnoses and/or procedures
      - Follow coding guidelines and conventions to ensure accurate coding with a minimum of 95% accuracy
      - Resolve NCCI, NCD/LCD, or other outpatient edit claim failures as assigned

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of 3 years of experience in an acute healthcare setting
      - Certification as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, COC, or CPC
      - Membership in AHIMA or AAPC

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - 4 years of experience in an acute healthcare setting
      - 4 years of experience in a professional setting
      - Additional certifications such as RHIA/RHIT with CCS, CCS-P, COC, or CPC
