What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide efficient and effective coding services in accordance with payer requirements and organizational policies
- Abstract clinical data from patient medical records and online patient data
- Review and interpret patient encounters for accurate code assignment of relevant diagnoses and procedures
- Assist with research for denied claims and ensure timely resolution
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident/Green Card holder
- Ability to pass a national criminal background check successfully
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bilingual Spanish speaker
- Familiarity with California billing practices
