Job Description
- Req#: 8030
- Be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual statutory financial statements of Bank Vontobel AG in accordance with ReIV-FINMA and IFRS (for group reporting purposes)
- Act as a key business stakeholder in system upgrades, migrations and changes to ensure that the accounting and financial reporting needs are considered and met
- Maintain and enhance the Finance internal control system sand ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and internal standards
- Collaborate with other departments from Vontobel Group to streamline processes and improve financial reporting processes
- Coordinate the external audits by preparing required documentation, responding to audit inquiries and act as a key contact for external auditors
- Significant contribution to the global implementation of SAP S/4HANA for Vontobel Group and its group companies including the design of future-oriented finance processes and controls
- Contribute to various significant initiatives for the group, such as M&A, treasury projects or regulatory driven change programs
- Drive digital transformation initiatives within the accounting function by identifying opportunities for optimization through automatization, AI, process reengineering
- Higher education with specialization in finance and accounting (University Degree, Diploma as Certified Expert in Accounting or an equivalent qualification).
- At least >8 years of leadership experience in Accounting within a Swiss bank and ability to motivate and lead a team
- Strong knowledge in Swiss Banking Law and IFRS
- Technical proficiency in SAP (ideally S/4 HANA) combined with a high level of IT affinity
- Strong technical understanding of the interface concept with peripheral systems (e.g. Avaloq, ePOCA, Workday, Concur, Basware)
- Excellent analytical and conceptional skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- A high sense of responsibility, initiative and familiarity with handling sensitive data
- Structured, independent, and precise working method with a high demand for quality
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and German language.
