      Head End Physical Security Engineer - Access Control CCTV

      As a Barclays Head End Physical Security Engineer- Access Control CCTV, you will be accountable for supporting Physical Security Access Control (EACS) domain, from a technical engineering perspective. Your primary focus will be on the EMEA region, to keep the ‘lights-on’ from a service perspective. Ensuring Access Control BAU service is optimally operational, whilst also performing technical engineering tasks in line with Physical Security strategy.       What will you be doing?

      • Ensuring the Barclays Physical Security Access Control, Physical CCTV systems, and Physical Security Products are operational 24/7 (an element of on-call work may be required)
      • You will be accountable for BAU maintenance and configuration of the Barclays physical access control systems
      • Performing routine maintenance, configuration & patching of systems as per schedule, when required
      • Assisting with managing the domain asset lifecycle, ensuring the physical estate is efficiently commissioned, configured and decommissioned in the Access Control systems
      • Being the Technical Subject Matter Expert across Access Control for all regions to support BAU and Project specific work
      • Working on backlog items in a proactive manner and assisting with remediation of current technical security issues on a day-to-day basis
      • You will be accountable for performing technical commissioning, configuration & maintenance tasks at a system level
      • Ensuring the EACS systems are running effectively, patched, up-to-date and have no vulnerabilities or operational issues

      What we’re looking for:

      • Completion of C-CURE 9000 Level 4 certification and Access Control Systems (Lenel, Vanderbilt) and CCTV Product experience
      • Extensive experience working in a Physical Security Access Control environment at an Enterprise level
      • Knowledge of Physical Security infrastructure and experience with technical implementations at an Enterprise level
      • Experience with managing the technical configuration of Traka Cabinets at an Enterprise level

      Skills that will help you in the role:

      • Experience working across multiple time zones, dealing with vendors and teams in different regions
      • Knowledge of of other Physical Security products/ service offerings including mobile building access
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
      • Effective stakeholder management skills


      Where will you be working?


      You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
