      Job Description

      The Head of Accounting & Tax Reporting will be part of the CFO area. Main responsibilities will be to manage a team of 10 employees split into Accounting and Tax, provide financial and accounting services to other key stakeholders, and comply with the local requirements in Brasil in terms of accounting and taxation for around 42 legal entities.

      Your role:

      • Manage the process of the day-to-day accounting and tax transactions
      • Ensure robust tax compliance and reporting to include, as appropriate, indirect taxes, withholding taxes, corporate taxes, and duties, required by regulatory bodies
      • Support the team members on their development career with training and coach on the job
      • Provide the individual and consolidated financial statement as well as Regulatory report of those legal entities that are required.
      • Oversee and coordinate on key compliance requirements in Brazil
      • Support both central and business unit staff, including project development and management teams with relevant information and reports
      • Adherence to the month end close process and ensuring deadlines are met in a timely manner.
      • Assist with systems improvement/digitalization and develop the processes and internal reporting to improve management information.
      • Work closely as a business partner with the business unit heads, including interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers.

      Qualifications

      We are looking for a person that will make it your pride and ambition to ensure that the GBS & Tax Reporting unit are run in an efficient way to ensure good daily operations. We also want you to contribute to our continuous improvement ambitions with an attention to and drive for always making things better, safer, and more efficient.

      If you can check of these boxes, you could be the person we are looking for:

      • Strong experience on leading Accounting and Tax Team
      • Graduation in Accounting. A Master degree within Finance is appreciated.
      • Fully Qualified Accountant (CRC).
      • Fluency in English is essential.
      • Knowledge of all relevant local GAAP and IFRS, Tax system in Brazil (direct and indirect taxes) and Ancillary obligation (ECD, ECF, DCTF, DIRF, REINF and Others)
      • Background as an auditor with experience from complex entities is a preference.
