- Minimum 5 years in a marketing role, preferably with experience in fast-moving consumer goods industry

Job Purpose
Lead the Papua New Guinea Marketing organization in creating and executing marketing and branding strategies and plans, that drive achievement of country business growth and profit objectives, and aligned with the overall regional marketing strategy and directions
Actively contribute in shaping these regional strategies and the in-market execution of select regional marketing projects/initiatives
Be the Brand custodian for Papua New Guinea Decorative Paints BU
Key Accountabilities
• Actively collaborate with marketing team in the region in shaping and creating the regional marketing strategy and plans
• Build strong market understanding and develop insights for Papua New Guinea
• Bring relevant country information and perspective to the table in all regional strategy and planning discussions
• Lead the development of long-term and medium-term marketing plans and strategies for both Retail and Professional businesses in Papua New Guinea
• Collaborate closely with regional marketing team, aligning on long-term regional and country directions and strategies
• Identify the resources needed to deliver the plans and objectives.
• Lead the development and implementation of an integrated annual marketing plan for both Retail and Projects. Set challenging yet realistic targets (market share, revenue, profits, brand health) and the specific key initiatives to deliver these.
• Shape the annual marketing budget to deliver the plans, ensuring optimal allocation across the key initiatives
• Organize and track performance targets
• Conduct monthly operational reviews, and quarterly reviews with key stakeholder at local and regional level. Revise plans and course-correct when necessary.
• Build strong market understanding and develop insights that will serve as strong anchor for Country strategies and plans
• Adapt and implement the regional Color strategy by engaging the consumers in relevant decoration and color conversations across the decoration journey, in order to make Dulux their brand of choice
• Adapt and implement the Digital strategy to build a strong brand presence online, engage the consumers and influencers in the digital space to influence their brand choice; identify opportunity areas in the digital arena where we could drive competitive advantage and drive initiatives in those areas
• Adapt and implement the marketing strategies and initiatives for Projects business to strengthen our presence in that business segment, including product portfolio, branding, communication and partnershipsKey Activities
• Adapt, manage and drive the portfolio consistent with the regional marketing strategy in a manner that is fitting and relevant to Papua New Guinea context

• Implementing the strategy, including the migration/transition, with minimum disruption to the business
• Manage the profitability across the portfolio
• Identify opportunities and gaps in the Portfolio given the market, consumer/customer and competitive dynamics; drive the country innovation agenda to address these
• Align with regional Innovation roadmap, adapting to country context and dynamics. Drive country-specific innovation for the rest of the portfolio, including relevant market research and managing each innovation project through the Stage-Gate and Innovation Gate Review processes
• Manage implications (phase out, new introductions) with minimum disruption
• Collaborate closely and align with regional marketing and R&D, Supply Chain and Country functions
• Adapt regional communication and activation platforms to the local context. Lead the development and implementation of country-specific communication/activation campaigns (products, colors, etc.), aligned with regional directions
• Provide support to related market research activity in the Country. Contribute relevant inputs to arrive at final communication / activation directions
• Evaluate the communication concepts and directions. Use learnings to finetune country implementation
• Develop the communication brief (for adaptation or creation) consistent with regional directions/guidelines
• Collaborate with partner agencies to ensure execution delivers against the brief
• Deploy communication materials on-time.
• Build and scale-up capabilities to engage consumers in the digital space, including Columbus platform, Visualizer
• Develop and deploy color collaterals and materials on-time
• Lead the development and implementation of in-store initiatives - store layout, signage, merchandising materials and tools, in-store promotions, and deployment of promoters
• Set the relevant targets and KPIs; monitor and measure to drive effectiveness. Use learnings to drive improvements.Experience
