      Head of Broker Strategic Accounts

      Salary Circa £120,000

      We are recruiting for a Head of Broker Strategic Accounts to join our Strategic Accounts team. This is a great job for someone to lead a tenacious team whilst acting as a key facilitator & influencer to brokers and the business to identify growth opportunities! As Aviva’s growth appetite increases so does the scope of this high-profile role, requiring energy and drive to work both in the external market and internally.

      Due to this being a role in scope for Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) it is a prerequisite that you are not currently bankrupt and do not have an unspent conviction for a serious criminal offence, in applying for this role you are certifying that you satisfy both of these requirements.

      A bit about the job:

      Within this role you will lead and motivate a team of circa 6 and be responsible for the implementation and delivery of Aviva’s profitable growth strategy at a national and regional level. Working with our largest and most sophisticated broker relationships you will Identify growth opportunities, ensuring strategic alignment, optimizing financial arrangements and maximizing contact strategies.

      You will be responsible for:

      • Leading Strategic Account Managers and their brokers to make better business decisions
      • Delivering the volume, quality and profitability of growth opportunities to the Cell which enables them to hit their plan targets
      • Controlling the distribution costs across intermediated relationships to deliver profitable growth, and ensure distributor and customer value
      • New business development of UK I intermediaries and including renewals
      • Driving greater visibility of Aviva to Strategic Account brokers

      Skills and experience we’re looking for:

      • Established senior strategic account manager with London Market experience and a comprehensive understanding of deal construction and broker account performance
      • Strong Leadership and Change Management skills in line with Aviva Values. Relationship/ Account management experience, within the General Insurance Broker market
      • Articulate and confident communicator, with the ability to build positive relationships and influence others across a range of business areas and all levels of seniority
      • Commercial and negotiation skills appropriate to large contracts / deals
      • An ability to plan and implement at a strategic and tactical level, with a focus on delivery and outcomes

      • Salary of circa £120,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
