Job Description
- Req#: 26395
- Membership in RICS / CICES / IOB/CIPS or an equivalent professional body (Essential)
- Degree-level education (Essential)
- Proficiency in commercial/contract management with a deep understanding of best practices
- Ability to act as a deputy
- Demonstrated success in administering contracts
- Highly developed commercial skills and the ability to make sound decisions with substantial financial implications
- Profound understanding of contract performance measurement, risk management, change, and claim management
- Proven track record with common Forms of Contract (NEC & FIDIC) within the power construction industry and major projects, specifically knowledgeable about UK Law's impact on the contract and commercial function
- Familiarity with nuclear site license conditions and the nuclear baseline philosophy
- Sound comprehension of the UK regulatory framework
Aztec West, Bristol or Bridgwater (SDC) at least 4 days a week in the office

We are seeking a Head of Commercial – MEH who will bear responsibility for executing contracts and managing Commercial Leads, Managers, and Assistants within their purview.

What you’ll be doing…
Once successful you will collaborate with and report to the Supply Chain Director, overseeing the management and mitigation of commercial risks associated with the scale of this project.
Ensuring consistent controls, processes, and governance structures are implemented to safeguard both Hinkley Point C's delivery objectives and the broader interests of our Supply Chain is pivotal.
Your role will be instrumental in fostering cohesive collaboration among Hinkley Point C's contract partners on-site, optimising workforce arrangements for productivity, and minimizing disruptions or conflicts.
